Position Summary
We’re currently recruiting for maternity cover for one of our Social Media team Leads to join our Group Marketing team here at Nestlé. The successful candidate will lead one of three of our Social Media Consumer Engagement team, be responsible for overseeing management of social media channels, developing, and implementing cohesive and cutting-edge social strategies for our brands, as well as being an expert on paid, owned and earned social media and content.

A day in the life of a Social Media Team lead
You’ll have experience of managing a team and working within a multi-matrix organisation. Your team will work across several categories (Coffee, Food, Waters, Nestle Professional) championing their brands, delivering exciting and engaging strategies and campaigns across all key social platforms.

Key responsibilities for this role will also include:
  • Manage and develop an in-house Social Media Community Management team including tow Social Media Contact Specialists and a commercial apprentice and co-ordinate with our Consumer Engagement Services team.
  • Lead your team to develop and deliver standout paid and organic social media strategies, content, and campaigns a key focus on business results.
  • Develop your team to own best practice ways of working and implement those in social media, content, campaigns, and online communities.
  • Drive the team to manage social media reports that track P.O.E social media performance against KPIs.
  • Understand the changing consumer landscape and champion the social consumer, providing P.O.E.M. recommendations and thought leadership to the wider business, particularly Consumer Engagement Services, Brand owners, Digital and eCommerce.
  • Own paid social media and work with our paid media agency/social media partners to deliver best in class social media campaigns, supporting ATL and BTL activities
  • Develop relationships and proactively manage internal stakeholders and agencies.

You will be a social media expert and forward thinking in exploring new ways of working. You’ll have proven experience in a similar role whether that be within an agency or in-house. You’ll thrive when working with complex stakeholder groups across all levels coupled with your ability to truly understand our businesses from a commercial standpoint. It goes without saying you’ll have fantastic communication skills and understand how your decisions impact our wider business strategy. You’ll also:

  • Demonstrate experience developing and delivering paid and organic social media strategies and campaigns across all major social media platforms.
  • Have excellent knowledge and understanding of consumer brands and delivering successful paid social campaigns to a variety of audiences.
  • Have experience managing and representing multiple high-profile brands and projects simultaneously in an agency or similar setting.
  • Have a proven track record creating compelling paid and organic social media campaigns that drive strong business results.
  • Be passionate about Social Media, Community Management and Customer Service.
  • A creative thinker, who is confident leading brainstorms and developing social content concepts that effectively deliver on campaign objectives.
